Just refueled internal tanks, sold glow juice at the market. I'm really
ready to get the hell out of this system. Now, What to take, where to go...
6t of Mil fuel loaded. Could not resist 8 beautiful Nexus 6 slave
replicants. Bought them for 1043.8 a piece. I usually don't deal in the
slave trade, but this Rachel Model is something more than special!

Off Biggs. Wanted to check a couple of things before leaving the
system. Its been a while since Spruce was out of the docking bay. Also,
wanted to check on the girls -- make sure they were frozen up right and
that cargo bay life support was functioning properly. Hanging out near
two big Lynx Bulk Carriers. Interesting ships.

Well, decided to jump on over to Tau. The first colony. Set course for
Haynes Starport. Hope I can sneak past customs with the girls.

Amazingly, I managed to get in here. Customs checked for authentication
but did not look into the cargo hold. Gee, it must be my lucky day. Think
I will nap for a while, then go hunt up some breakfast.

Got some breakfast in the starport lounge. Jackson's Earl Grey Tea
(imported from Old Earth) and some tasty Russian tea cakes (also imported).
Still seems like some of the best stuff is out of Sol. On the mall now,
looking for a contact to off load the replicants to. Need to be carful.

Just sold the girls off to some slime at Mitterand's Trading Company, no
questions asked. Sold them off at 1999.8 a piece. Now that's profit!
Drive waste sold. Took a job off the BBS to deliver Imperial documents
to a contact in the Luyten 97-12 system (1,-2,0). Pays six grand; 3 up
front and three on delivery. 19.75 ly from Tau. Time to fuel up and go.

Ready to travel. 8t of Mil fuel on board good for 21.33 lys. - More than
enough. Upgrades: Scanner, 5 MW Pulse Laser Front and Rear Mountings.
2 Shield Generators. Autopilot, Radar Mapper, Atmospheric Shielding.
Ready to go to work. Tau is nice, but a bit crowded. Off to another
Luyten system. Hope I don't hit too much trouble, but I'm ready.

Gee, was just going to blast out of here, when I found out I had a 2500
credit fine hung over my head! Guess someone must have found out about
my trading in replicants. Well, it was still worth it. This place is
sneaky, they did not even inform me to the best of my knowledge. Decided
to pay the fine and be on my way. Nothing like too much law and order...

Hah, made it in here. Just lucky I guess. Out ran a couple of sidewinders
on my way in, - they could not catch the Spruce. Camp Hooper is a blue
planet. Quite beautiful; a small barren sapphirine rock dancing around a
dying white dwarf sun. Perhaps I will do a little hunting in this system
before moving on...

Spent some time trying to go relative to a little wisp of a planetoid,
Luyten 97-12 2. Unfortuantely, I could not go relative, even after a
considerable amout of maneuvering and flying about under auto and manual.
Another beautiful blue jewel in the darkness. Decided to return to the
station around Camp Hooper.

Here at Docking Bay 4. Fun and games at Fort Schmidt. Autopilot sure seems to be goofing up a bit. Perhaps I should have another go at number
Two. New Scanner shows a lot of activity outside of the station. Think
I will go have a look see.

Just made a 100 credit donation to the Patrick Ford Pet Sanctuary. After
all, a Commander has to be good to his mascot if he has one aboard...
though lately I have heard a tale about one Commander abandoning his dog
Noodles - but that just can't be true.

Came back down to Camp Hooper to read the BBS there. Perhaps pick up a
new job or something. I wanted to take this couple over to the Zeaex
system, but I was warned it was a tough system to get into with a lot of
renegade Imperial couriers running about. Nah, not a good idea in a Cobra
Mk I like the Spruce. Guess they'll have to wait.

Just spent some time over at the shipyard looking at an old used Anaconda
freighter. Geee, was she beat. Anyway, one of the mechanics there was
telling me of his harrowing adventure trying to get into the Zeaex System
(3,-2,2). Apparently he barely made it out of there with his life and ship.
He was in a Viper; got jumped by a Sidewinder and a Gecko, then a Courier!

Well, I couldn't resist. Think I will try to get into the Zeaex System.
Off loaded my shield gens and the two 5MW pop guns, squeezed in a
4MW Beam. That should afford me a bit of protection. The yellow star
of Zeaex calls. Looks like quite a populated system... Lots of orbiters
and a class-M planet in orbit number four. Now, can I get in ??

What a slug-fest getting in here. I fought 10 ships in the little Spruce!
Sure am glad I loaded in that 4mw beam; could not have handled those ships
without it. Took on 3 asps: slow relatively easy kills. Several Cobra Mk3
and a few Mk1's as well. The combat was tough and furious. Sure hope Zeaex
is something special. Making my approach to Democracy now.

On final to Newtown now. A beautiful sunny day on Democracy. Hey, how
many pilots do you think make log entries while on final... not many I
bet'ya. Back to work.

So, here I am in the Zeaex System. It is 31.04 lys from Sol and in the
extreme upspin region of the sector. So far, considering all the work to
get in here, Newtown has not impressed me, but then one must not judge a
whole system by a single starport. I'll have a good look around and report.
After all that combat, I'll be looking for the nearest watering hole...
